Funds were used to facilitate a diplomacy training program for
Tibetan women in India, a Canadian tour of two representatives of
TWA Central, printing of documentation and press kits, costs related
to the TWD discussion list, telephone/fax/postage, and expenses of
two delegates to the Vienna Preparatory Conference, two delegates
to the New York Preparatory Conference, and two delegates to the FWCW.

    

  • International Committee of Lawyers for Tibet US$20,000.00

The Women's Committee of the International Committee of Lawyers for
Tibet raised and used funds for preparations beginning in June 1993 to
train and send delegates to preparatory and strategy meetings in Europe,
the San Francisco Bay Area, New York, Salt Lake; develop, copy and 
distribute documents; send five delegates to Beijing, and partially
fund a sixth. Additionally, the Women's Committee members spent
hundreds of dollars of their own for travel, copying, faxing,
mailings, etc. which are not reflected in this sum.

Expenses included travel, postage, faxes, long distance charges,
e-mails and copies for New York Preparatory Conference, Salt Lake
strategy meeting, visit by TWD International Coordinator to
Seattle, coordination of the United States delegation in
preparation, while the delegation was in Beijing and upon
their return.       

    

  • Tibetan Women's Association, East Coast US$14,450.00 New
York, New York, United States
    • 



Funds were used to assist TWA Central in sending representatives
to the 1994 and 1995 New York Preparatory Conferences, sponsor a one
day workshop "Bring the Truth to  Beijing" for leaders of East Coast
Tibet NGOs and women's NGOs in 1994, host the Internal Strategy
meeting in New York in 1995, make copies of reports for the New
York Preparatory Conference and send three representatives to
Salt Lake Strategy meeting.
    

  • Tibetan Women's Association, Central US$47,000 Dharamsala,
HP, India (INDIAN Lakhs16)
    • 



Received donations of 15 lakhs. Funds were used for activities
related to the International Year of Tibetan Women, training of
Tibetan women and travel to national and international
meetings related to the Beijing Conference, production of
publications and video, email  and fax costs. A number of organisations,
TWA branches and individuals donated funds. 

    

  • Tibetan Women's Organisation, Switzerland US$23,518.47
Winterthur, Switzerland (sFr25,399.95)
    • 



Funds were used for travel and participation in local and
international conferences, printing of brochures, administration,
and related expenses.  Remaining funds of Swiss francs 8520.69
will be used for continuing participation in UN related
women-specific activities.
